Growing up a pretty quiet little girl, I am making up for lost time by speaking my truth as many places as I can about:

  • what self-love is, why it’s important, and how to cultivate it
  • what self-care is, why it’s important, and how to cultivate it
  • what nourishment is and why it’s important
  • how to create a body you love
  • how to create your body breakthrough
  • how to make new healthy habits simple and doable
  • how to integrate the absolute most soul-enhancing, self-nurturing practices
  • how to identify exactly how you desire to feel, and how to get it!
  • how to live the life you dream of, in terms of vitality
  • how to choose the foods and exercise that are right for you

FAVORITE QUOTE: Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. (The brilliant Marianne Williamson, from her book “A Return to Love,” which is one of my favorite books.)

Allegheny College in teensy-tiny Meadville, Pennsylvania. Happy to say I graduated with Bachelor’s degrees in Neuroscience & Psychology in 2004, after contemplating a degree in Mathematics as a freshman. (Math nerds, I’m with ya!)

The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in Boston. It’s the only independent School of nutrition in the country! I very much earned my Masters degree in Nutrition Communication, thanks to a notoriously known class called s-t-a-t-i-s-t-i-c-s. My “Professional Communications” professor told me I was one of the best to ever pass through his course. Similarly, Communication is my number one strength according to Tom Rath’s Strengthsfinder 2.0 test.

Simmons College’s didactic program in Dietetics. I completed this program while getting my Masters at Tufts.

Dietetic internship in 2010-2011 at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in good old Harvey, Illinois.

Immediately following this internship, I contributed research and writing for David Grotto’s well-reviewed book “The Best Things You Can Eat: From Aches to Zzzz.” It’s a worthwhile resource for both consumers and nutrition professionals.

From 2011-2013, I helped two young businesses thrive. I facilitated more than 100 small group conversations about nutrition, behavior change, and framing positive mindset. I led dozens of grocery store tours and gave about 20 cooking demonstrations. I taught nutrition for fat-loss and overall health to over 400 women and men throughout four body transformation challenges. Most of this work was done at Fit Code Bootcamp and Renuil, LLC.

From 2011-2015, I worked joyfully as a full-time Crew Member with Trader Joe’s in Orland Park, the greatest employer I’ve ever worked for. I was an enthusiastic advocate for their food, stocked shelves, entertained customers for 8 hours straight, and taught customers as much as possible about food, nutrition, and wellness. I was the go-to Crew member for all things health and wellness.
